Lord saw how great wickedness of human race &every inclination of thoughts of human heart was only evil all the time. Lord regretted he made human beings on earth &his heart was deeply troubled (real emotions !!) But Noah found favor in eyes of Lord.. 6:15 "this is how you are to build it." /"Noah did everything just as God commanded him" (repeated).
KJV says 7:1 Lord said, "come thou into the ark." NIV translation says: "go into the ark." MAKES A BIG DIFFERENCE. !!! "then the Lord shut them in" (7:16b cool ! safe with God). in 7d, I'll send rain 40d /n: "floodgates of heavens opened." flood Earth for 150d.. 8:1 "God remembered Noah"; sent wind, &waters receded." springs of deep.. closed. 7/17: ark comes to rest on mtntop. continue to recede till "10th month" &on 10/1, mtns tops visible. after 40d, Noah opens window; sends out raven who had nowhere to perch /returns to Noah. 7 days later, Noah sends dove, who brings back "freshly plucked olive leaf!" (8:11). he waits 7 more days &sent dove out again. this time it did not return. by 1st day of 1st month of Noah's 601yr, water dried up from earth. by 2/27, earth was completely dry. (never will again will I flood the Earth /here's a rainbow in your sky, as my promise to u).

my home's in heaven; just travelin' through the world -Billy Graham
isaiah 55:10-11as rain &snow come down from heaven, &don't return to it w/o watering Earth &making it bud &flourish, so that it yields seed for sower &bread for eater, so is my word that goes out from my mouth: it will not return to me empty, but accomplish what i desire &achieve the purpose for which i sent it. out of love for the truth &the desire to bring it to light -95 theses, 1517.
if there are words for Him then, I don't have them. you see my brain has not yet reached a point where it could form a thought that could adequately describe the greatness of my God. &my voice is so inhibited, restrained by human limits, that it's hard to even sing a praise up. my God: unsearchable yet knowable. indefinable, yet approachable. indescribable, yet personal.
when the world shook &the sun was wiped out of heaven, it was not at the crucifixion, but at the cry from cross: the cry which confessed that God was forsaken of God (Matt: 27:46) &now let the revolutionists choose a creed from all creeds &a god from all gods of the world, carefully weighing all gods of inevitable recurrence &of unalterable power. they will not find another god who has himself been in revolt. nay (the matter grows too difficult for human speech), but let the atheists themselves choose a god. they will find only 1 divinity who ever uttered their isolation; only 1 religion in which God seemed for an instant to be an atheist. -GKC. †
